The Pacific Green Sea Turtle can be found in all temperate and tropical waters throughout the world, but mainly near the coastline and around islands in bays and protected shores of the Pacific Ocean. Globally it has been listed as Endangered (facing a very high risk of extinction in the wild in the near future) by the IUCN. These ancient herbivores can easily live to 80 years and weigh up to 700 pounds. The estimated global population is between 85,000 and 90,000 nesting females.
Autonomy Skateboards is honored to partner with the Sea Turtle Conservancy and will donate proceeds of each skate sold to help protect this magnificent and noble creature in its natural habitat, giving them the autonomy they deserve to survive.
The Sea Turtle Conservancy is the world's oldest sea turtle research and conservation group. They are dedicated to saving these creatures as they are among the most important indicators of the health of the world's marine and coastal ecosystems.
